... the better half and myself went for a drink in the pub and then ate out!
The last time we did was March 20th last year, so I booked the same restaurant that we ate at then for our first post-lockdown soiree, to complete the circle. It felt rather strange I must say, but it was great to be out finally. The restaurant has adapted with fewer tables with screens between them, and to be honest, it actually looks very good - better than it did before :)
Not that we have been desperately gagging to get back in the boozer or anything like that, but it felt good to be back to a certain normality. and good to know that our local businesses are managing to survive and adapt, considering Newcastle city centre is full of empty shops these days. The pub was very quiet but it was only 6.30 so it may have got busier.
Incidentally, she had suggested I went in part-Cara mode (leather leggings, boots, nice sweater and a touch of makeup) but I bottled it and just went for very skinny jeans, Docs and fitted polka dot shirt over my knickers lol Besides I needed a shave and am saving that for tonight's second Eurovision semi-final :)
Anybody else venturing out?
Tempted to try and get out this weekend. It feels like everyone looks at you a little bit more closely from booking a table to checking you comply with the rules so I may have to spend way longer getting ready. :(
Cool your wife suggested you wear something more fem.. For me I totally split Davina from male me.. I'm either 110% man or 100% Davina all or nothing. I wonder if we'll ever go out with me as Davina again in the future and go for a drink, a meal or cinema.. Esme was OK when we went out and think I can look better now than I did when we went out in public the once, certainly a better wig which I think is key. Nice to see you've been out we've been nowhere but we are away as a family for a week soon in a tent and looking forward to that and being on a nice beach.
@Cara i did not realise you were a local lass, I am in Stanley, me and the wife don’t go out much, never to Newcastle for a meal, we just stay local and would rather wait until restrictions are fully lifted before we venture out for a meal or anything
That’s wonderful me and Chelle had a girls night in 😱
