Back to my roots today ... Esme due to her diet needed a bra fitting I was stood waiting and walking round the M&S lingerie section.. I bet the women working there were thinking why is this guy hanging round the Lingerie section..
As a kid I'd walk thru the M&S lingerie section with my mother I'd be running my hands thru the silk, lace and satin lingerie hanging on the racks and she'd tell me off..
What a place to leave a Cross dresser in a lingerie section for over 30 mins. but so frustrating as I wanted a good look about and would have loved a try on.
We went to a few shops today looking for something for Esme.. I did see a few things which would suit Davina but nothing purchased some nice blouses and skirts in New look..
I looked in Asda George which is where I get my 60/denier hold ups with lace tops at a bargain £4 but none there.. I shall have to shop on line for a new pair.
Did anyone else used to love the lingerie section in M&S??
On a recent shopping trip into Newcastle with the gf I had to have a moan about the lack of decent lingerie retail outlets. Seems like Marksies is the only place with a decent sized lingerie department. I must admit it's pretty well stocked although there isn't often anything that I want. But I suppose that's my problem lol
Actually (and I hate to say this!) Primark has a rather good lingerie department (and they do some very decent stw 'glossy' tights).
That thing about the M&S reviews is rather funny. It's amazing that people can be bothered to get so wound up about it, considering all that's going on in the world. It's that kind of attitude though that stops me going out dressed locally... and being scared of getting spotted by someone I know of course :)
Must say your post has conjured up images of Father Ted and his fellow priests lost in the lingerie section of a department store 😁
It's torture every time I volunteer to go with my wife shopping. Like others here I'd like nothing more than having my own basket and filling it up with all these lovely items. X
Wow. In these days of supposed equality to 😂. Come to think of it, I have seen a review of women's lingerie by a man before. It may have been on the M&S but I can't be certain. So what though!! Go M&S 👍 My wife works in a M&S outlet and I know their changing rooms are unisex. Not that I'm ever going into her store to try thing on, oh no. I definitely agree with the review of knickers though (I hate that word if I'm honest). Women's briefs/knickers etc can be more comfortable than men's.
Marks and Spencer slammed for letting men post online reviews of their women’s undies M&S is under fire for letting men post online reviews of its knickers and bras. The retailer’s website has dozens of write-ups — all of which have passed moderators — by men trying on women’s lingerie. Half of the ten reviews of silky knickers, designed by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, were by men The store was savaged for allowing men to try on clothes in women’s changing rooms, despite concerns over safety and privacy. Now, shoppers fear the male reviews will only encourage more fetishists. One Mumsnet user commented: “M&S cannot be unaware of the thrill found by men in wearing female underwear and then proclaiming their enjoyment online.”The growing number of male reviewers has sparked fears the M&S site is becoming a magnet for fetishists. One wrote: “Great fit even though not exactly designed for what I have to fit in it Another reviewer said knickers were comfy and “better than any male underwear I’ve owned”. M&S said it encouraged reviews and feedback to help other shoppers. It added: “They are moderated to ensure they are appropriate for all customers to read Davina - OK if women wear boxers but not if we wear M&S knickers??
I've seen pics of t girls with breast plates.. They're expensive tho. I'll make do with my c cup boobs lol. Imagine having a women a clothes shop to yourself try anything on all made up wig etc those big a hop mirrors trying different looks and styles. There are a few t girls I've chatted to brave enough to have gone clothes shopping trying on dresses, skirts and high heels etc.
Oh yes. M&S, Debenhams, House of Fraser and any others given an opportunity. The M&S store at Warrington is huge with a massive lingerie area. I love looking at all the styles etc and wondering which would suit me but if you've ever read some of my other posts you'll know I prefer corselettes now. If I was to buy a bra it would be a lace, full cup, non-wired version and the M&S ones are very pretty. There is a bit of me that thinks that if I were to have a breastplate then I would definitely have a selection of pretty lace bras and I could try different styles, rather than always settling on the full cup style. The only thing that annoys me about corselettes is that I can usually only find them in 3 colours, black, white and beige. I have seen some other colours (not many tbf) but maybe it's a brand thing but they were so expensive😢
