Thanks Katie for sharing thr Queer britain link in one of the other posts.
Ive had a day off today spent half of it on the phone to work due to peoblems only i can solve and the other half building ikea stuff for the bathroom whilst watching.
I can say one thing ive never considered myself part of the LGBT community being a straight married man who crossdresses a few times per year.
Now we have LGBTQi adding Queer and intersexed and Asexual abd all sorts put it this was its growing
Now Lesbian nope not me although i exclusively love women and my wife not men at all so lesbian ? Lol i wont insult lesbians, nope never ever couldnt be more repulsed by the thought of sex with a man, Bisexual covered by the last repulsion nope, Trans well yes i fit ib here somewhere but as usual on these tv programs we're not represented as married straight tgirls, Queer i think im pretty mai stream normal 99% of the tine and crossdress once per month if lucky maybe twice if needed and realy lucky and im not i tersexed but if i told someone i crossdressed theyd put me into the lGBT bracket immediately.
Some sad stories on the program some wild and some made me fast forward to the end eg gay porn no thanks.
Im far less homophobic but dont want to see men having sex together no thanks. this may spark sone debate as we' re different we're something else
Davina
We are normal and boring lol
Davina
Just imagine what else goes on that we don't know about! Makes us seem normal and boring!
Watched it lots of eww www eww men doing things thanks Katie not lol
Sorry not my cup of tea and glad we have Davina type crossdresses for husbands not queer or binary or gay porn stars.
Rebecca (wife)
I don't know if wives watching programs like queer Britain is a good thing ok Katie's point was in response to the humour on here about cyber and web cams (Hannah) but do I want to be lumped in with LGBTQIA ... No thanks
Davina
Yes this wig site is a bit of a pain I've typed things and it won't post and EMMA just had a rant a out losing what she typed can be frustrating.
I typed it wouldn't let me correct so typed it then went back in editing which took ages.
We're definitely part of LGBT but on the fringe of it.
Lots made me think do I want to watch this with my wife and some ewww not for me at all .. what a diverse world we live in these days where I've never heard of half the descriptions and what's your pronoun?
Mine is winning if that's a pronoun.. cos I'm an Alpha male with a penchant to crossdress and try to look convincing lol.
So confusing for kids and also so in your face these days.
Bisexual what's that I has no idea it was a thing until probably only a few years ago how naive of me thinking I'm open minded and with it but iesbt interest me but seems a trend to be bisexual especially among Tory MPs lol.
Davina
Hey Davina did you type this on your new phone? You want to sort out the keyboard lol.
There were a few eye openers for me and some bits I felt a bit squemish about. My nephew is gay and I reckon my cousin is too or at least Asexual. Brighton has a big gay scene and you find all sorts down here. Can be quite in your face. especially during Pride.
That said everyone lives happily together and we hardly ever get any trouble. I just think sometimes knowledge broadens the mind and that programme broadend mine!
You're right I don't really feel part of the LGBT....partnership. I have every sympathy but what I do is not about gender identity it's really expression.
