Since the pandemic employees are gradually being reintroduced to the office setting.
There have been a lot of talks lately about the benefits of remote work.
Proponents of working from home argue that it is more productive and allows employees to have a better work-life balance.
I agree with this 100%.
But is this really true?
YES!!!!
Or are there some drawbacks to working remotely that people don't often talk about?
What are the pros and cons of both remote working and working in an office setting.
Working in an office no cross dressing working from home can crossdress its a no trainer but seriously working from home for me on the end of a video call I've been able to work whilst in a meeting, work whilst on one meeting on my laptop and another on my iPad..
My multitasking and productivity is now immense to a point if I go into the office or to a face to face meeting my productivity is poor.
What does everyone else think?
Davina
Yes, sounds like in person meetings dont have much benefit for you at all Davina. Hopefully and it doesn’t sound like it, that you never feel isolated from lack of in person interaction. That can be stress inducing too but lurks in the background. 2D meetings mean that little body language nuances we see subconsciously are missed (the minuscule recline when something is said that someone doesn’t appreciate) are overlooked and we can be on the end of that or the person causing it in someone. In person, you don’t realise you spot it but you do and change or clarify your meaning.
personally I have to meet the team and help coach and train, it is part of my senior role, so my time in the office is no longer really my time, it is the teams time - does it mean I get nothing done -YES - does it mean I get nothing done - NO - both Are correct, it just depends which side of the lens you are looking through.
I can’t multitask well, so back to work for me.
