In work yesterday and we have a social media platform for placing good news and lessons learnt etc.
One of the managers pipes up come and look at this.
At our Hq some trans event as were an LGBT accepting diversity and inclusion company and theres a photo of 6 t girls (none of which i recognise through chatting to others on tvchix) bold as brass who work in Hq.
Conversation ranged from omg they look rediculous to which i had to point out diversity and inclusion to theyre brave coming out as trannys in work and having their photos on line.
It didnt explain if they were full time and no one recognised them as men in work so good on them
Of course it sparked micky taking in the office of who might be a secret Crossdresser and funny enough i wasnt one of them.
I said to my wife funny how when were on topic of me dressing how often the subject crops up in the media or in work etc.
It is funny how crossdressi g can come up in life Mainly people joking about it

I can confirm it happens in my workplace too and the women laugh about crossdressing and make the same comments Steve in work Stephanie on the weekend and it's all jovial but I bet if it was talked about more seriously people would throw in the words pervert and freaks and gays abd drag queens which I'll admit before I found out my husband was a Crossdresser id have joined in the ridicule and did think those thoughts as the Davina type t girl isn't known about and even if it was they'd still not understand and use the same words.
Rebecca (wife)
Funny how often it crops up in conversation and sometimes funny as a Crossdresser to hear just how much some people know about crossdressing.
One Engineer in particular went on about pink punters club in MK and another protested too much I just sat back and listened thinking yep you crossdress haha.

A little while ago I went out for a curry with some ex-work colleagues. They were talking about a member of staff at another office who had transitioned from MtF (I didn't know the individual). It was quite difficult to listen to as they weren't particularly complimentary or understanding. These are guys who I'd thought were quite tolerant and liberal in their views, however, after a few beers things become a bit more 'laddish'. There were also ladies present who didn't say anything so not sure how they felt.
I'm sure if they'd come face to face with the individual they'd have been kind and thoughtful. It's just when peoples guards are down that their true feelings become evident. Some of them may have been going with the flow and felt arkward. As always the loudest voice tends to win the day.
I think that it is always a fear for anyone what is said behind your back. That's why it's so brave of those individuals to have become public about their gender identity/experssion.
I often read article where people say they don't care what other people wear. I think sometimes, behind closed doors they may have a different view. Trying to conform with societies expectations brings lots of unwanted pressure and can't always be helathy for the individual.
