It was really interesting to see the impact that a change in clothing can have on a persons self esteem. Emma has transformed herself by a few weekends shopping. Her confidence has soared and she has learnt to feel comfortable with her man crossdressing.
Sindy says 'And a night of red lippie and decent clothes would be nice' and 'I remember heading off to work in a skirt and heels and feeling both pretty and powerful'.
Clothes are important. I've found couple of books which interest me and was wondering if anyone else have read them. It's a series of 5 volumes but it's 1 and 2 that interest me the most.
Volume 1 one is entitled Crossdressing in Context : Dress and gender and really goes on discuss the importance of clothes to us as individuals. It may be answers a few of the point like the one raised by Emma's other half 'I like how the clothes feel'. Human skin is our biggest sensory organ so it is any surprise we like soft, sensuous fabric against it?
Have a quite look at the book here https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=F905IS-FPmUC&pg=PR1&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q&f=false
The second volume is Crossdressing in context : Today's transgender realities. Again it covers a lot of the topic we talk about here. https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=D9npAgAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=crossdressing+in+context+vol+2&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiZx8Weo4LPAhUUOsAKHd-sAcoQ6AEIHjAA#v=onepage&q=crossdressing%20in%20context%20vol%202&f=false
I think the books are quite heavy and a bit text bookish but I'm tempted to buy them out of curiosity and the need to find answers.
If I do I'll give you a book review although it's been a longtime since I've been to school!
