A quid bet on we'll be back in lockdown in Wales over Christmas

Government havent been great after we came out of summer lockdown and made some mistakes and i think our firebreak in Wales should have been for a month given where we are now.. neath / port talbot 650 cases per 100k to think my borough went in lockdown at 80 cases per 100k..

Its a mess even in work there are local cases due to stupidity and complatiency and schools are out more than in and only ope for childcare and the economy not for education.

my two will be in the next 2 days fingers crossed they dont get near covid or back in isolation cos of cases then im taking them out of school as i dont think it safe and dont want my time off work ruined after such a crap year

Its crap isnt it some people are spreadders who dont care.

Its rife in the schools i want to keep ours home a week early so they have 2 weeks clear of christmas

nightmare if they go back to school after 14 days isolating cos of cases in school and get another case and have another 14 days including the time over christmas miserable as hell so sod that they can finish school a week eatrly

I agree with you on the schools neighbours of ours have friends in Caerleon comp and most of the shcool is in isolation and hearing more and more of the same from friends and family it is only a few cases but imagine being locked down over christmas not seeing parents and grandparents it will not be good especially if youre waiting for signs of covid in your children over that peroid or worse they and you get it. Keep them off if you can i say.

And if people should be isolated and are out grass them up i say also as its them keeping us in and the same people saying its all a hoax

I have a feeling we're hesddng for more lockdowns .. More friends getting tested . more schools years on lockdown. My oldestbback next Friday think we'll keep her if that one day ... Bang will go an opportunity to dress . Lots of friends thinking of calling it a day on school on the 13th a week before schools break up and asking for home schooling. If those who can accommodate did this and kids were at home that's 2 clear weeks before Christmas and a chance grandparents will be confident enough to enjoy Christmas with grand kids.. Worse case scenario one positive case in that last week of school in a school year and they're locked down for Christmas.. Lots of local schools years 8 9 10 and 11 in isolation so what's the fuss if we did this.. Means less contact for those in school and better social distancing... The whole thing is messed up by people who aren't abiding by it. My oldest has been in the house for 10 days 4 more to go before she gets out of covid jail and no symptoms.. Others in here year have been going out and meeting .. I feel like grassing them up and hoping the parents get fines! As its them keeping us stuck in and locked down.

It annoys me too. We exit lockdown and a week later 2 kids in my daughters year get covid.. So how did that happen if for 17 days everyone hid from it.. Because they didn't. People broke the rules, didn't wash hands, didn't wear a mask and didn't social distance. Merthyr like Liverpool has mass testing , Blaina Gwent now has the most cases in Wales After lockdown 3 schools with people we associate with sent year groups home, a friend got it who works in a college and closer to home family recently got tested with symptoms but negative results thabk god but they were half expecting positive results which tells me they knew they've been flirting with Covid.. If people can't follow simple rules it will keep spreading and we will lockdown again in Wales and England and Scotland and N Ireland. The latest is oh theres a vaccine on the way so we're OK. Christmas for us will be Merry Christmas everyone via Zoom the rule of whatever the governments have a freed for that 5 day period the scientists say is a bad idea I'm going with the scientists and we won't be in anyone's houses or a pub over Christmas. Christmas dinner on our own, unwrapping presents on our own a Christmas at home with zoon on.

Weird for us on the border to see we cant go in Wales now and couldnt when you were in lockdown this year is awful. We have friends with Covid and theyve flouted the rules so part of me thinks serves them right as we've behaved and theyve been into Wales during Wales lockdown and been to pubs and restaurants etc round eachothers houses if friends and family flout it and you think you can trust your friends you can see how this virus goes round so annoying I worry every day in work

Its certainly getting closer may have first cases in the extended family who are waiting on results but no taste or smell is the clear sign especially when you cant smell or taste vinegar.. can see Wales in lock down over Christmas half term and wouldn't be a bad thing

I see first minister today on saying its a suceas but people need to behave.. I've got one home self isolating with a second confirmed case in the schools so thats till 4th DEC and have another in a sports team self isolating with parents.. I see Blaina Gwent is on the rise already.. What's wrong with people who can't watch hands and wear a mask and socially distance. Esme said the same she went to Cwmbran shopping Sunday and said its not a nice experience

Well we did 17 days but not sure what good it did and its still here though i have been shopping but its not a nice experience in a mask and seeing some who cant social distance to literally save lives

Cant wait Davina but what can we do in our freedom w'll continue to keep ourselves to ourselves.

Yes 2 more days and we are free although will still be careful what we do and where we go and hope people don't spread it like idiots again. It also means kids back in school opportunity to chillax as Davina working from home. Hoping the kids are safe in school and don't get it bring it home..

I've had a week off and the weather has been rubbish. Back to work tomorrow 😒 Can see a lockdown each school half term.

Does look a mess and with France and Germany going into national lockdown i hear Tory ministers say they wont do it here as cases rise and rise.. makes no sense.

I'm bored out of my brain in lockdown half term rain kids dont want to do anything might as well be in work.

I wish Boris would lockdown England properly it's a mess all different areas different rules we're just not going or doing anything as dont know what's for the best. Our parents back in full lockdown and we're shopping for them again.
