Just after 20:00 last night I settled down after work and club admin and looked outside and it was dark.
I immediately felt a little depressed that Summers gone and nights are drawing in already.
But I bet it also means some will take opportunity to leave the house dressed in the dark for a drive or a walk.
I've only left the house once dressed when I decided to put out the bins lol.
How many walk locally dressed?
How many leave the house and go for a drive?
No one pays as much attention in the night and blinds closed earlier.
I have only left the house dressed a few times, mainly to jump in the car in daylight and go somewhere! Due to the fact that there is nearly always someone home and my wife never knew (until recently) I had very few occasions to dress at home. However before Covid and lockdown I tried to get away to a hotel on business as much as possible. Then I would dress and go out for a drive or a walk, you would be surprised how many people don't really look closely at someone else, especially if your in a car. Driving somewhere quite then going for a walk (Weymouth seafront for instance) can be terrifying but exhilarating!
I must admit I like being able to put the bins out whilst dressed now that the nights are dark. I've done it occasionally during the light nights and early mornings but have always felt a little conspicuous and furtive..
How often have I thought about stepping out of the house, or anywhere else for that matter, in a dressed state......often is an understatement! Unfortunately, unless I found myself suddenly divorced, I doubt it will ever happen, in the dark or not. I'm somewhat rescined to dressing in a hotel room when I'm away from home when an opportunity presents with work. If I could dress at home with a supportive partner I'm sure I would but I'd definitely need a new pair of low, kitten or block heeled shoes and a more everyday dress rather than my more glam preferences. Ebay 'Click and Collect' is having a bit of a hit at the moment 😁
