Grayson Perry quote:
“People say if you’re trying to access some kind of feminine, emotional experience, dressing up is a rather crude way of going about it. And I always go, yeah, but you don’t decide to be a transvestite when you’re a sophisticated adult – you’re a child. Our sexuality is formed in the Petri dish of our childhood."
Sort of sums up why it all seems 'inexplicable' as Davina mentioned. Humans don't discover their stress techniques or sexuality or whatever as adults. We discover what we like as kids so it's no wonder as adults it all seems so odd. I actually think becoming a mother made me more sympathetic to my husband's needs. On the one hand, I'm less interested in indulging with him as I am in a very different place post-children. On the other, raising kids has shown me how eccentric little humans are so I can sort of understand why things like crossdressing happen.
Anyway, thought it was an interesting comment. He's an oddball, Grayson, but he knows a thing or two about cross dressing.

I think that the thing with Eddie is that he is free to dress as a woman when he likes and so the way he expresses this is different to a crossdresser with limited opportunities. If you only have the occasional chance then you will probably want to go the whole hog every time. Because I get a lot of opportunities I find that I hardly ever go for the full make up and wig. If I was presenting in public then maybe it's be different but at home it's fine.
Eddie has dress up and dress down days as normal women also do so it's not always full glam. From time to time I'll even go for the skinny jeans, ankle boots, t shirt and biker jacket look as I do think women can look sexy dressed in this way.
That maybe a little confusing to some crossdressers but it suits me and obviously Eddie.
I think that his hair style is pretty androgynous and I've seen plenty of women with more masculine styles so I can understand why he doesn't wear a wig.
Reading about his background it is pretty typical for a crossdresser and so I do think that he does make a good rile model. Women also find him attractive!

If you want to practice makeover that look up Joseph Harwood on youtube. He's professional make up artist as well as a crossdresser and the results are amazing.
