I assume that all of us have socal media accounts, some more than others, so how do you manage them? Do you keep your CD accounts separate or do you proudly declare your CD passions?
Well I had one of those ' ......ah' moments today. My FB and Insta accounts are a CD free zone. I believe I can have other Insta accounts but I'm not that tech savvy to know if a second account can be "seen' from the first or have it's searches and posts interact with it in some way, so I don't. I also have both Flickr and Reddit accounts. Both of these are my CD social areas and I'm in a fair few Flickr groups and a similar number of Reddit subs. I'm quite open about my CD interests in these areas with all my photos and comments reflecting this. Anyway, this brings me on to my Reddit account. I joined a non-CD sub today (an Aston Martin sub) without thinking and immediately made a comment. Fast forward a couple of hours and I had one of those '.........ah' moments! My profile was totally CD based so there's me in a fairly 'manly' and respectable sub with a blatantly CD profile. Now I did wonder how many people actually look at other people's profiles but I know I do so I guess that means others will to so........shit!.
Anyway, I thought about it for a bit and decided there was no point in trying to hide my CD interest (I've not changed my profile pic of me fully dressed) but maybe I do a bit of damage mitigation (of sorts). Out went talk of corsets, lingerie and stockings, in came a slightly modified reference to my CD desires and finally the addition of a comment relating to driving an Aston Martin in a designer dress. Fair enough I thought, job done.
So, has anyone else had an '........ah' moment with their socials and if so, what happened and what did you do about it?
I'm on facebook as male me, twitter or X as male me and as Davina .. in fact I have 3 X accounts ones male me family and friends, ones quite political and then there's Davina networking other t-girls etc and I've never seen a crossover in C with my 3 accounts.
I used to have a Davina Facebook but found my male persona came up on suggested friends so I deleted Davinas Facebook.
I'm on Flikr as Davina to store photos more than anything, I'm on Reddit as Davina although I rarely use it, I'm on EBlue and TvChix as Davina and Pintrest as Davina.
Now Pintrest was my close call having been on there as Davina advertising pur forum and pinning t-girl memes somehow a new page was set up with boy band memes on it .. somehow my daughter had got on there and set that up (this was about 5 years ago) and she's never said anything to me about crossdressing. I changed the password on it and think she went on our iPad innocently thinking it was her pintrest but who knows.. maybe she saw and suspects or knows I dress but has never said anything to me or my wife.
Having a double life on social media you have to be careful with your digital foot print and what you leave open on your ph9ne, laptop or tablet.
