Yay! We've hit that time of year as Esme has gone to the office in a nice black and white dress heeled boots and black tights ... Wow looked great.. Looked sexy.. And I don't get to see her walk back and forth today as she's in the office. Black tights season is open!! And the blooming heatings on and it was dsrk last night just after 20:00. Love seeing Esme in black tights and a dress.. But makes me jealous too as I want to be in black tights and a dress with her.

I must admit one of the looks I do like is black tights (40 denier plus) and a short tartan skirt with boots or heels.

I have to admit that it's always 'Black Tights Season' as far as I'm concerned! Not that I always wear black mind, I think I tend to wear nude shades more.

I am being slowly weaned off all-black outfits by my girlfriend who is doing her best to get me into colours!

Where does everyone buy there tights, I found supermarket tights irritated my skin, at the moment I wear M&S Autograph tights, a bit more expensive, but much better quality.

I don't think stockings are practical to wear out without suspenders .. Stockings for a night in mmmmm. If I go out i wear tights.

Esme wore dark blue patent high heels with black opaques with a navy blue and black dress to a winter wedding and looked very sexy.. You can wear red heels with black tights again looks very sexy.. Tan though I would think looks best with red heels.

I like stockings and suspenders, but I never feel relaxed in them, just waiting for a suspender to snap and fly up and hit me in the eye 😂 they do feel amazing when your skirt rubs against the suspenders though.

I have some red shoes (I have a thing for red shoes) and a pair of blue shoes that I wouldn’t wear with black tights with. Haven’t got any fashion boots so no tights with my practical boots plus boots can start to pull them down. I then end up looking like Nora Batty when I take them off.

I like the hold ups my husband has with a pattern on but still getting used to the feel of those. They make me feel very exposed and I am always worried they are going to fall down. Haven’t managed to find a suspender belt that fits and feels comfortable yet.

All.my heels are black, got black ankle boots and grey ankle boots I'd wear with black tights. I like the opaque fashion tights with a pattern in them.. Also can get into a dark tan pair of Esme's boots I'd wear with black opaques

Agreed if it has to be black then I prefer opaque. I would then have to wear black shoes as any other colour would look odd. I generally wear tights all year even under trousers but very rarely wear black.

Black opaque tights are definitely the best look, but I love opaque tights in most colours, blue, yellow, red, brown, white, etc

Oh I love tights on legs but for whatever reason its black that does it for me and most others. Heels excentuate the legs and yes it has to be the full look although black tights and boots can be sexy too but not flat boots..

So why do they have to be black?

Black doesn’t go with every thing and can look very odd with some outfits and shoes.

Why does it have to be heels?

Again heels do not go with every outfit or occasion.

Surely the look must be the total look and the tights and shoes are just a part of that look.

A rainy day and a week off work what can we do? Let's sort the kids back to school uniforms, shoes, trainers etc with a shopping trip to Cardiff. It was a bit chilly and I didn't take a jacket.. Three days ago I decided to wear black tights with my dress and go to my appointments. Now that fall is here it’s cooler so I’m more comfortable with black tights. Had a fun outing shopping and then at my appointment.

Who knew IKEA was somewhere women get made up and dressed up to walk about..

Went there Saturday with Esme and she had on makeup and tight jeans boots and a leather jacket... missing the black tights and skirt that a lot of women seemed to have on.. some nice legs in black tights and some fantastic effort gone into makeup just to go to IKEA..

Went back Sunday and its not the same ... seems if you want your black tights, heels / boots and short skirts, nice legs and good makeup its a Saturday shop ... Sundays not so good for "Eye Candy" lol

I told Esme it was a treat to take me to IKEA and next time we go without the kids on a Saturday she needs to get with the program and have on her black tights too :)
