Nothing to do with crossdressing but a certain Prem league ref just ref'd a 1-1 draw with a handball that would have been given anywhere else on the field but wasn't given in the box for a penalty.
He also blocked a player to the advantage of the other team and played on and gave some awful free kicks against the one side leaving the manager head in hands on his knees.
I get we don't want kids seeing players abd managers having a go at the officials but it's it a bit right wing to not allow questioning of authority? What's that telling grass roots sports and society in general.
This ref has a track record against one of the teams and its manager..
We should always be allowed to question authority..
Tbh, I like to watch MotD to catch the highlights and that's it. I would say I'm an armchair Liverpool'fan having grown up in the vicinity (a woolyback if you must know) but I'm certainly not a die hard. Some of the conversations at work are way too deep for me and frankly, I couldn't care about the intricacies or what happened 10, 15, 30 years ago etc or derby rivalries. MotD anytime 😁 but it should be fair and no obvious bias from the supposedly unbiased referee. The advent of VAR was meant to help make sure the correct decisions are made but, in many instances, it just causes more issues and the tiniest toe offside is so frustrating when the attacking team should have the advantage. Toes, arms, shoulders FFS!
Football is overrated and full of overpaid prima donnas. I'd rather watch the women's game at the moment, the World Cup has been great so far. I was never really a rugby fan but now, I'd happily watch either discipline of the game, not for any particular team, over a televised footy match. Same goes for cricket. I won't watch a test match, never really have, but a Hundred or T20 match I can quite happily sit through.
Rant over 😁
Yes I agree, but it's not rugby so it's really just a minor sport 😂
