I always attempt it but would like to see what a pro would do for me and to learn new makeup techniques to look as fem as possible but also natural i don’t want to paint a face on just make me look more feminine when I’m dressed.

As crossdressers, one of the most important things we can do to feminize our appearance is to learn how to contour our faces.

Contouring is the process of using makeup to create the illusion of shadows and light. By manipulating these shadows and light, we can change the way our features look. It is a perfect way for us as crossdressers to feminize our facial features. By playing with light and shadow, we can create the illusion of a more feminine face.

I’ll give you tips on where to place your highlights and shadows, as well as some basic tips on blending techniques. 

Whether you want to feminize your features or simply use makeup to enhance your natural beauty, contouring is a great way to achieve flawless-looking skin.

1. Contouring process 

Let’s start by talking about where exactly you should be placing your highlights and shadows. 

The key to contouring successfully is using light and dark shades in the right places on your face. 

Generally speaking, the easiest way to determine where these areas are is by looking at the natural shape of your face. 

This is an important step in face contouring, especially for crossdressers. 

It will allow you to achieve a flawless finish, which will make your makeup look more natural. 

When applying base makeup, it is important to use the right tools and techniques for an even finish. 

Begin by evenly applying foundation over your entire face, starting from the centre of your face outward. 

For areas with more visible wrinkles or blemishes, use a lighter hand so that these areas don’t get too heavily covered up.

After the foundation, move on to contouring. 

This involves using darker shades of foundation or powder to create shadows in certain areas of your face, which will help to slim down certain features and give your face a more sculpted appearance.

For the jawline, apply bronzer just under your jawline and along the underside of your chin.

4. Contouring the rest of your face

Contouring your face can be a bit confusing, particularly when it comes to the areas that are not your cheeks, nose, and forehead. 

However, if you know how to contour the rest of your face properly, you can create a more defined look that will make people wonder whether or not you’ve had work done! 

The first step in learning how to contour the rest of your face is figuring out where on your face each part needs to be contoured. 

This generally depends on what type of features you have – for example, crossdressers with smaller mouths may want to contour their lips slightly; those with broader chins would do well to define their jawline by adding some definition at the base of the chin. 

Once you know where to contour, the next step is deciding what type of product to use. 

To create a dramatic look, you can opt for darker powder or even cream contouring products. 

Try different shades until you find one that works best for you and your skin tone. 

The key is to blend, blend, blend! Use a brush or beauty sponge to help you create smooth, even lines that will subtly enhance your features. This will not leave you looking overdone.
