As crossdressers, one of the most important things we can do to feminize our appearance is to learn how to contour our faces.
Contouring is the process of using makeup to create the illusion of shadows and light. By manipulating these shadows and light, we can change the way our features look. It is a perfect way for us as crossdressers to feminize our facial features. By playing with light and shadow, we can create the illusion of a more feminine face.
In this article, I’ll show you how to contour your face like a pro!
I’ll give you tips on where to place your highlights and shadows, as well as some basic tips on blending techniques.
Whether you want to feminize your features or simply use makeup to enhance your natural beauty, contouring is a great way to achieve flawless-looking skin.
1. Contouring process
Let’s start by talking about where exactly you should be placing your highlights and shadows.
The key to contouring successfully is using light and dark shades in the right places on your face.
Generally speaking, the easiest way to determine where these areas are is by looking at the natural shape of your face.
This is an important step in face contouring, especially for crossdressers.
It will allow you to achieve a flawless finish, which will make your makeup look more natural.
When applying base makeup, it is important to use the right tools and techniques for an even finish.
Begin by evenly applying foundation over your entire face, starting from the centre of your face outward.
For areas with more visible wrinkles or blemishes, use a lighter hand so that these areas don’t get too heavily covered up.
After the foundation, move on to contouring.
This involves using darker shades of foundation or powder to create shadows in certain areas of your face, which will help to slim down certain features and give your face a more sculpted appearance.
To contour your cheekbones, start by drawing an “X” on each side of your face with a darker foundation or powder. Then, use a small fluffy brush to blend the color in, being sure not to over-apply.
For your jawline and chin, you can also use contouring techniques to create the illusion of a smaller or more angular shape.
For the jawline, apply bronzer just under your jawline and along the underside of your chin.
Then, take a flat brush and lightly dust some highlighter above this area for extra definition.
You can also try applying blush on top of this area for a youthful look.
Finish off your contouring routine by highlighting certain areas of your face that you want to bring attention to.
Do this using a lighter shade of foundation or powder on the tops of your cheekbones, at the center of your nose, and on your cupid’s bow. You can also use a shimmery powder or highlighter for an extra glow. Finally, don’t forget to set your makeup with a light dusting of translucent powder to help it stay in place all day long!
Doing your base makeup and contouring correctly is an essential step in creating a flawless, natural look.
With the right tools, you can achieve the perfect finish for any occasion. So why wait?

2. How to enhance your cheekbones
There are many ways to enhance your cheekbones, and contouring is one of the most popular methods.
Contouring involves using makeup to create the illusion of shadows and definition, which can help to make your cheekbones appear more pronounced.
To contour your cheekbones as crossdressers, you will need a bronzer or a contouring powder that is two shades darker than your skin tone. Using an angled brush, apply the bronzer or powder along the hollows of your cheeks, blending well as you go.
You can use highlighters on your cheekbones to create an even more striking effect.
If you are interested more in contouring, there are many helpful tutorials and videos online that can show you the basics of this technique.
With a little practice, you’ll create cheekbones that look stunning and natural.
3. How to feminize the forehead
There are a few key ways to feminize a crossdresser forehead with contouring.
First, you’ll want to create a soft, blended contour along the hairline. Next, you’ll want to highlight the centre of the forehead and the brow bone.
This will help to create the illusion of a higher, more feminine brow line. Finally, you can use a light dusting of blush on the apples of the cheeks to help add a bit of colour and definition to the face.
By following these simple steps, you can easily create a more feminine look with your contouring routine.
4. Contouring the rest of your face
Contouring your face can be a bit confusing, particularly when it comes to the areas that are not your cheeks, nose, and forehead.
However, if you know how to contour the rest of your face properly, you can create a more defined look that will make people wonder whether or not you’ve had work done!
The first step in learning how to contour the rest of your face is figuring out where on your face each part needs to be contoured.
This generally depends on what type of features you have – for example, crossdressers with smaller mouths may want to contour their lips slightly; those with broader chins would do well to define their jawline by adding some definition at the base of the chin.
Once you know where to contour, the next step is deciding what type of product to use.
To create a dramatic look, you can opt for darker powder or even cream contouring products.
Try different shades until you find one that works best for you and your skin tone.
The key is to blend, blend, blend! Use a brush or beauty sponge to help you create smooth, even lines that will subtly enhance your features. This will not leave you looking overdone.
Remember – less is more when it comes to contouring.
So, start with a little bit and build up from there until you’re happy with the look.
Once you have your face contoured, all that’s left is to add a bit of extra definition to other areas.
Add to your eyebrows, eyes, or even lips, and you’ll be looking smokin’ hot!
With these in mind, you can contour the rest of your face like a pro! Create a natural-looking finish that will really make people stop and say ‘wow!”
With these simple tips, you’ll be able to create a feminine and defined face with ease!
