Can't sleep so reading on the internet and just found HuffPost Live interviewed several individuals who identify as straight and actively engage in cross-dressing for a variety of reasons from just liking crossdressing to sexual arousal... feeling sexy and makes us feel good about ourselves in some way and i'll admit weird way as its not the norm.. As the lady says some guys dont look "good" as guys but when dressed look good as women and dont forget its not just women who have confidence issues or image issues... the video goes off a bit at the end from what most here do as she mentioned a few different ways of dressing more fetish or the crossdresser who doesn't "transform" just dresses as in beard and looks like a bloke in a dress.. not me i need to put on makeup wig and try to look convincing all part of the fun,
Though gender identity and presentation is separate and distinct from sexual orientation, many people still don't understand this and automatically think crossdresser drag queen queer / gay?
.
Some of the individuals interviewed cross-dress with their partners, which is something we can all dream of doing openly and honestly but they also have differing perspectives about the personal significance the act of cross-dressing holds for them.
We all have different ideas on the why? the pie chart of reasons to differing percentages..
“Increasingly more people seem to realise you don’t have to be gay to cross-dress... but it's still not an accepted thing it remains very taboo although i'm willing to bet more people than we realise do it...”
I remember Esmes friend telling her how an old boyfriend liked to dress up in her lingerie.. he was also a friend of mine and i've never mentioned it to him and it was pretty hard listening to our friend belittle him for crossdressing dying to say "I crossdress do ya think i'm a weirdo?" but know Esme wouldn't have appreciated that lol. As i've mentioned before Esme was also getting her friends view backing up "It's weird" :(
“For Crossdressing to ever become completely acceptable is something we may think would be cool but do all Crossdressers want this as this removes some of the fun of it being taboo which for some adds to the fun.. our little secret.”
Myself and Esme share a laugh about it sometimes it's our sexret
Nice to hear a woman saying "It’s ok if a guy wants to wear women’s clothing — that’s ok! It’s just clothing!” Things are moving forward i think peoples views are more open minded especially seeing X Factor from what I've glanced so far had one t girl on singing the male and female part and another tgirl tonight with long gingner hair and a ginger beard omg why? probably would look ok if he shaved but how does this reflect on us and society's opinion.. the guy could sing and from the neck down you may have been fooled by the long legs and the high heels and dress although he was pretty tall but the beard was a massive give away lol.
Good though that we are seeing more crossdressing in the mainstream even though some people may say freak or weirdo getting it out there these brave individuals are in some way making it easier for us all..
