I was perusing on line news on Crossdressing and looking for interesting articles and found on one site 100 Questions someone might ask a Crossdresser.. The page I got it from is called Cynthias rossdressing Journey.. There are others out there blogging about their journey and what Crossdressing means and does for them and it’s a diverse multiverse of reasons and people all over the world.
Cynthias blog goes back beyond my current Forum and this blog all the way back to 2013 beginnings - Back to very young like a lot of us I need to give her blog a good read but like mine if you go right back to the start its an evolving Blog / Journey from beginnings to where Cynthia is now - Her last post was in 2023.. I’ll give her blog a read but one thing she’s added is 100 questions for a Crossdresser and here’s my answers..

1. How old were you when you realized you were different?
I first tried things on when I was about 6 but didn’t think or realise I was different - Lingerie, heels, stockings at 10 or 11 upwards and maybe then I realised I was a bit different but it never felt wrong (apart from a bit of guilt borrowing my mums things but where else would I experience the feel of these items)..
2. How old were you when you first tried wearing women’s clothes, make up etc?
Womens clothing - It started with Black tights about 6 with a Batman T shirt and cape - Loved the feel of tights (Still do)
Graduating to proper crossdressing - LIngerie, stockings, heels from 10 or 11 upwards - Root cause of this escalation was clothing catalogues like Littlewoods and Marshall Wards beautiful women in Lingerie modelling and also certain programs on TV like Allo Allo with the women on there in stockings, heels, lingerie on prime time weekend TV mesmerising me as a young lad.
What did that material feel like? What would it feel like on? And the magic feeling of wow that’s how it feels and in the mirror that’s how it looks etc.. It wasn’t frequent but was motivated by women, the feel of lingerie and arousal back then into my teens.
Makeup - I was in my late 20s the first time I properly tried makeup when my wife put makeup on me and dressed me which is probably something that may come into one of these questions in more detail.
3. Have you ever told anyone you were a Crossdresser? If yes who?
Only my wife in real life - Following on from above.
My wife asked if she could dress me as a woman “Feminisation” a crossdressers dream.
I agreed and she made me look like a woman full face of makeup, hair more feminine, then I put on lingerie, stockings, heels and a little black dress - I thought she’d sussed I was a Crossdresser so admitted this wasn’t the first time I’d been dressed - Shock horror she hadn’t sussed me a CD she wanted to see if her Alpha hubby would let her dress him up for a laugh - So she knows I crossdress and is the only person I’ve properly come out to as “Davina” and has seen me as “Davina” in person.
I told her friends on a night out - Knowing they’d think I was joking and they did think I was joking - My wife wasn’t happy called me “cocky” but that paints the character of male me - Who would suspect or believe that I’m a Crossdresser??..
I’m also out to people on line “Anon” but one wife of a t-girl found male me on facebook so I think of myself as out to her too and her husband (also a crossdresser). - Be careful with your on line footprint all lol.
4. At what age did you come up with your femme name?
I think me and my wife decided on “Davina” as a reference name when discussing my crossdressing late 20s which I then used as my ‘on line persona’ on sites like TVChix which I treat like a support group on line chatting to others.
I don’t think of myself as Davina - She isn’t another person, I don’t become her, it’s a reference name to use to describe Crossdressed me if that makes sense.
5. Did you use any other femme names before you chose your current name if so what was it?
No I had no need for a fem name my dressing was in isolation and sporadic.
6. How did you come up with your Femme name?
A TV presenter I fancied lol (She’s still hot) and it’s a nice name “Davina”
7. Have you ever been caught dressed?
Not as far as I know but some close calls
Once when I was young I tried on a black lacy nightie that was drying on a clothes horse - I think my Dad saw me but by the time he got to me it was back on the clothes horse.
I’ve been fully dressed when the kids were younger - my parents looking after them me working from home and my mothers come in shouting up ‘only me they want their scooters’.. She was half way up the stairs a few more steps and I would have been seen fully Davina.
That’s my only close calls as far as I know - I’ve been pretty careful and assure if I dress I’m going to have hours to myself.
Oh I just remembered one more - I once started a National Video meeting not knowing my cam would automatically be on and there I was on the screen as Davina - I got away with it - Was probably on cam for about 3 seconds..
8. How did the people you told take it?
My wife burst into tears - later asked if I was Gay, did I want to be a woman and was it her fault??? = No No and No..
She couldn’t fathom I was a crossdresser had questions but also kept repeating “This just isn’t something you’d do”
Turns out - Yes it is..
9. Are you married?
Yes almost 25 years but been together for 30 years
10. Does your spouse know? and if so are they accepting?
Yes (see above) and to a point yes - I’m lucky she accepts as so many wives don’t accept this.
Acceptance levels changed over the years from ‘I don’t want to see you crossdressed or any evidence you’ve crossdressed’ to ‘I want to know if you’re dressing so I can text to say change back I’m on my way home’ all the way to meeting me dressed, girls nights in dressed and one girls night out..
She’s accepting that it helps me escape and de-stress from life, work and being Alpha me etc but I think she would prefer I didn’t dress and has some fears.
