Cross dressing conversations - Listening between the lines

It’s funny how often the topic of crossdressing crops up among friends, family, and even work colleagues — often slipped into jokes or casual conversations.Usually, it’s all in good humor: a teasing comment about someone dressing up as a woman at the weekend, or a playful jab about having a “female alter ego.” People laugh, shrug it off, and move on.
But for those of us who actually crossdress, these moments stand out.
Sometimes, behind the jokes, you hear someone who seems to know a little too much — a bit too familiar with the details.
You start to wonder: are they just well-informed? Or are they perhaps speaking from experience, from curiosity, from a hidden part of themselves?
One example that always stuck with me: a work colleague once casually mentioned that in Milton Keynes, there’s a hotel where men stay overnight so they can dress as women and attend a crossdressing nightclub across the road.He said it like it was common knowledge — but it made me think: How would he know that?

Sometimes being a crossdresser means staying quiet during these conversations — listening, smiling, reflecting.Other times, it stirs a little inner smile, wondering who else might be living their own secret life, much like me.
