Hot Weather Hat-Tip to Makeup-Wearing Women

Today, I'm dressed as Davina despite the growing heat — An opportunity ahead of a meeting mid day so a few hours before it's too hot and before I need to go on a video call - A SHIEN red floral dress (One I found up the Accit sorting out the wifes clothing up there, black tights, full makeup, and now a fan pointed directly at me.

Not exactly the most practical choice for a hot day, but the opportunity was there, and I couldn’t resist.
And as I sat there, trying not to melt while blotting my nose and chin every five minutes, I found myself thinking one thing over and over again:
How do women do this every day?
Makeup in hot weather is a challenge as is long hair.
Foundation feels heavier and I'm sweating and don’t even get me started on trying to keep lipstick sharp when your top lip is sweating.
There’s a fine balance between looking radiant and looking like your face is sliding off — and I was right on the edge. - The fan's helped.
It really hit me how much admiration I have for the women who manage this daily.
Whether it’s for work, social life, or simply their own expression and confidence, many women choose to present their best selves regardless of the weather and they're kinda women.
While I might dip into Davina mode for a few hours, they’re living it — through heatwaves, humidity, and everyday demands.
And I’ve seen it firsthand: Women stepping out in summer dresses, glowing with dewy skin (intentional or not), lipstick perfectly applied, and eyes defined with liner that somehow hasn’t surrendered.
Makeup fixing spray may help it may even be used to cool us down as I used earlier lol.
But I can change back as I'm working form home and remove the makeup women in offices especially with poor or no air conditioning must be melting. It's so humid.
As crossdressers, many of us have experienced the highs and lows of makeup — the thrill of transformation and the frustration of a sweaty upper lip undoing your look. And let’s be honest, as above we have the luxury of opting out. Women often don’t.
So today, as I dabbed sweat from my brow and angled my fan just so... I raise a glass — or perhaps a setting spray bottle — to all the women out there who show up radiant and composed, even when the weather conspires against them.
You have my admiration and my respect.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to de-frock it was a nice 2 hour stint but it's hot and muggy and I have a meeting to attend soon - Pity I can't stay dressed longer but have other opportunity this week.. Need to get some new foundation tho as my bottle from Christmas has run out.
Stay cool and stay fabulous,
Davina 💋
