Summer cross dressing pause for most?

Summer for me is a sparse time for expressing myself as Davina for a few reasons, the kids off school for 6 weeks and no private time, or rather not sufficient private time and it's far too warm for the amount of makeup I trowel on and a wig.

That about sums it up.

Summer is supposed to be light, carefree, and full of freedom — but as a crossdresser, it can be one of the most difficult seasons to navigate.

Privacy shrinks with family home, schedules are disrupted, and the simple act of putting on makeup and a wig can feel like stepping into a sauna.

I saw in a shopping centre today lots of women nicely made up a clear effort to put on a face and thought they must have done that in an air conditioned room as I've tried putting makeup on in this August heat and it felt like it could slide off my face..

As for a wig I'm guessing real fem hairstyles aren't as hot as wearing a wig..

Winter, on the other hand, is forgiving.

Layers, tights, and boots all feel natural.

Autumn is rich with style and colours and the reintroduction of my fav time of year "Black tights season"...

Spring is fresh and energising and I got a lot of dressing in in 2025 in Spring… but summer feels like it puts Davina on pause.

Still, the urge doesn’t vanish just because the thermometer rises.

I find myself longing in small moments — walking past the lingerie aisle, seeing women in light summer dresses,..

I suppose every crossdresser has their “seasonal struggles.” For me, summer means waiting — for cooler days and for private time.

September and into Autumn, cross dressing returns and always with an extra spark of excitement having paused it all summer.
