The Weekly Hot Spot Podcast - Email response

One of my favourite podcasts during my morning walks or exercise sessions is The Weekly Hot Spot.

ree

It covers a mix of topics—from feminisation and femdom to sissy play and all sorts of kinkier fun—but what really keeps me tuning in are their insights and openness around crossdressing.

The hosts, Erika and Olivia, manage to bring a warm, cheeky, intelligent tone to topics that many shy away from.

It’s like listening to friends chat—if your friends also happened to be deeply experienced in kink and wonderfully affirming of the spectrum we crossdressers find ourselves on.

A while ago, they did an episode discussing "Alpha males who crossdress", and I felt inspired to email in and share my perspective.

I didn’t expect a reply—podcasters must get so many messages—but I was completely over the moon to receive a personal email back from Erika herself.

She thanked me for my email and mentioned that Olivia had appreciated it too.

That small gesture meant a great deal to me.

Sometimes, we put our stories out into the world without knowing who’s listening… so to be heard and acknowledged felt genuinely special.

Erika even asked me a thoughtful question: What drove your wife to finally meet Davina after eight years?

It's something I’ve reflected on a lot.

I think, in the end, it was a mixture of things—curiosity, comfort, and maybe a gradual shift in trust.

Over the years, I’ve tried to reassure her, not pressure her, but simply let her know that Davina was a part of me, and I wasn’t going anywhere.

I think she began to believe that Davina wasn’t a threat to “us”—she was more like an extension of me, a way to feel grounded, lighter, and calmer.

The day she finally came up to my home office while I was working from home as Davina… I think that was a kind of Eureka moment for her.

I didn’t look like a drag queen.

I didn’t look like a caricature of a woman.

I just looked like… me. A feminine version of me, yes—but not someone else entirely.

Since then, our journey has continued in small but significant ways. And getting an email from Erika and having the chance to write back felt like part of that journey too—a little ripple of affirmation and connection in the wider world of crossdressers, partners, and all those of us navigating the beautiful complexity of gender expression.

Thank you, Weekly Hot Spot. You made my week.
