What is Crossdressing?

Crossdressing is the act of wearing clothes traditionally associated with the opposite sex.

Some Crossdressers go further and wear makeup and a wig even breast forms and try to look presentable as a woman temporarily.

I believe Crossdressing sits within a band from trying on clothing associated with the opposite sex to trying to present and pass as the opposite sex to fully transitioning although the latter is far off Crossdressing and unlikely to progress that far.

Most often associated with men who dress as women, it can also refer to women who dress as men although women can dress the same as men openly.. it's considered more taboo and strange by the general society for a man to wear a dress.

Crossdressing is often done for personal satisfaction, escapism from being a man especially in a toxically masculine surrounding in work and life in general .. Crossdressing can bring an escape and stress relief (Somehow this works for some), it can be a kink or a fetish but that doesn't mean it's necessarily to attract sexual attention which some wives or girlfriends may fear. Sometimes a man Crossdressing may be doing so to feel lingerie, to feel or see and experience sexy lingerie a wife or gf may not wear for him or when younger as I did myself trying on things I'd love to see and feel on a woman.

It doesn't have to be something a wife or girlfriend has to worry about.. it can be fun for the crossdresser who may get enjoyment from dressing and being temporarily fem and may even be fun for a couple to play with crossdressing..

My personal experience I'm no less red blooded a male than any other man and yet I dress as a woman.. my wife has nothing to fear and has met me dressed and been out with me dressed and even says I'm nicer as Davina.
