What Would a Professional Makeover Reveal About Davina?

Like many crossdressers, I’ve spent years learning how to do my own makeup.

Trial and error, watching tutorials, experimenting with colours, discovering what works and what definitely doesn’t.

Over time you develop your own routine, pace / speed (depending on the time you have) and your own style.

I've learnt how to do mine in around 10-15 mins.

You learn the dark art of where to contour, how to soften your features, and how to bring out the feminine side of your face.

Most days when I become Davina, I’m actually pretty happy with the result.

In fact, as I’m writing this I’m working from home dressed as Davina, makeup on, hair done, feeling good.

Although I’ll admit my foundation is probably a little too dark for this time of year – One of those seasonal things where your summer shade suddenly doesn’t quite match your winter complexion!

Cheap foundation from Primark but bloomin good for a crossdresser at home.. I've also ordered more colour corrector from Amazon - It lasted me 14 months. Good for £6.99.

But it does make me wonder about something many t-girls and crossdressers think about at some point…

What would happen if a professional makeup artist did my makeup?

Not because I can’t do it myself.

After years of practice, I’m fairly confident with eyeliner, lashes, lipstick and blending.

But professionals have a different set of eyes and a different set of skills.

They see things we don’t.

They know how to match foundation perfectly to your undertone.

They know where to place contour to soften a jawline or lift cheekbones.

They understand how to shape brows or place eyeshadow so that the face looks softer and more feminine in photographs.

I've seen the results of some T-Girls makeover and wow they look incredible in the photo shoots afterwards.

I imagine sitting in the chair as Davina while a professional makeup artist works her magic.

Brushes moving confidently, blending colours, adjusting tones, maybe even tweaking my wig slightly so it frames my face better.

And then the moment of truth.

Looking in the mirror.

Would I see Davina looking even more feminine? More convincing?

Would there be small tricks and techniques I could learn and bring back into my own routine?

That’s one of the real attractions of a professional makeover. It’s not just about being made up for a photoshoot. It’s about learning. Picking up tips. Seeing what’s possible.

But if I’m honest, I think there’s another part of the experience that appeals just as much.

Validation.

Many crossdressers spend their lives doing this quietly and privately.

Learning makeup alone. Practicing in front of mirrors. Taking photos to see what works.

A professional makeover would be different. Sitting there openly as Davina.

Being treated simply as someone getting ready for a photoshoot.

Hearing a makeup artist say things like “your eyes are lovely” or “this colour really suits you” or "Wow your natural lashes are so long".

For many t-girls, that experience alone can be incredibly affirming.

Of course, professional makeovers and photoshoots can be expensive, which probably explains why so many of us end up becoming our own makeup artists instead!

Still, it’s a fun thought.

Maybe one day Davina will find herself sitting in that chair, brushes swirling, lights being set up for a photoshoot, and discovering just how feminine and convincing she could really look.

Until then, I’ll keep practicing… and maybe buy a slightly lighter shade of foundation for

winter.

I've always been jealous of your make up skills. Maybe you should be DOING the makeovers!

You always look good in your photos. Your make up skills are excellent and I can only dream of such results.

However it would be great for Davina to have a pamper day and a professional make over.

Shame you can’t book one for you and your wife .
