When you think you have opportunity but you dont

It's been years since we last had a girls night in.

Last weekend my oldest declares she's out all weekend and won't be home until Sunday and youngest says she's at a sleepover Saturday night..

Wow this would be the first saturday night me and my wife had had home alone for about 5 years maybe more.

I'm thinking Girls night in or even just get all my dresses and fem things out and have a good sort out of what's in fashion and what's not and fill a bag probably for the charity shop.

Maybe my wife even agrees to me giving her a makeover and picking her out an outfit and we have an evening and night as women with a chick flick and a drink and chance to talk and maybe more if she was up for it but no pressure or expectation for that.

Then Friday she's home from school .. so what time are you going to your friends?

Oh we're not doing that now she's got something on with her parents..

All out the window lol.. never mind there will be another opportunity some time for a girls night.
