This is really a post about humour with our spouses.
So this morning I was doing some stretching in my bedroom - my wife was in bed. I had on my boxer shorts and T-shirt. My oldest daughter (nearly 16) opened our door to say good morning and obv saw me stretching out my quads. Nothing to it really.
As she left my wife said, was that okay with you in your snug boxers. I said why not, she said ‘well you’ve got a bulge’. I stress the quad stretching had not turned me o!!
so finally to the humour point. I really wanted to reply to the ‘bulge‘ statement, ‘ah well not when I’m Emma’.
I smirked internally but couldn’t say it as we aren’t in the right place
it got me thinking - who can make such comments/jokes with their partners and what are the funniest moments. have a good weekend
Rachel and I are always joking about our private situation- I find it fun😊
Not the content I was expecting, frankly! :)
I think it's important to be able to maintain a sense of humour in our particular hobby, although it's a lot easier to do so when you can share this side of our lives.
My better half and myself enjoy shared jokes about Cara all the time. Although the other night she described an experiment with an exaggerated lip line as looking like Mrs Doyle from Father Ted, well!
Lucky enough I can joke about Davina with my wife.. Happens quite often something is said and we laugh sharing a private joke.
Waking up to this made me chuckle as there have been moments where similar quips have entered my mind with my wife. As I have mentioned in other posts my wife is aware of Ally but not willing to partake as such. Nothing to do with my bulge as such but definitely more to do when my wife says she wishes she didn't have to wear that dress, those shoes etc for maybe an event, inside I'm going Ally would given the chance. 😁 We do have a little light banter sometimes about how something might be more my style so maybe there is hope that it is becoming a lighter topic between us.
