Why is it a woman can say to another woman or a man "Wow look at her i like her dress or skirt or heels or how shes dressed etc etc " but if a man says it a wife will say it's "I don't go round the supermarket looking at women!"
Weekly shop today in Tesco (Other supermarkets are available).. and woman long blonde hair (mask) black jacket, black leather type skirt (quite short but not tarty), black tights and knee high suede black boots with heels.
So load the car and driving from Tesco I exclaim to Esme bearing in mind we'd passed this woman and her husband or BF several times "Award for best dressed in Tesco today goes to the blonde in the leather skirt.. over dressed for Tesco but I appreciated what she was wearing"
What did Esme say.. "Yes I agree a bit over dressed" No.... "She looked nice" No
What she said was "No idea who you're referring to I don't go round Tescos looking at women"
We litterally walked past them 6-7 times at the start of our shop..
I said i don't either but you must have seen the woman long blonde hair boots tights leather skirt.. "No like i said i don't go round Tesco looking at women.,"
Neither do I but is there an unwritten rule ladies that us men can't make comment if we feel another woman has made an effort? looks nice? without a Wife / Gf think we're oggling the women in the supermarkets..
Davina
I'm more leggins and boots in my supermarket with a blouse and coat as so cold.
Not got glammed up in months
HAnnah (wife)
Sorry I asked 😱
I'll take this as backing my point to by another wife Emma ✊🤭 I was merely observing the lady in Tesco looked nice, wore something nice but over dressed for Tesco. I've seen the tiktoks too.
Wow Davina Mcall and Holly Willoughby look amazing but then they always do and have stylists and makeup artists and fitness coaches.
In terms of you pointing out someone you feel is well dressed in a supermarket I don't think there's anything wrong with that Davina but Esme may think what about me wasn't i dressed nice?
I expect both of you shopping are just going for comfort and practical and sounds like the leather skirt gal fancied dressing up a bit to go out maybe to make her feel better about lockdown.
I've seen lots of funny tiktok videos of women glamming up just to put the bins out lol.
I think it's acceptable for you t girls to point out women in the supermarket or elsewhere just don't look like you're drooling all over the woman you see.
I've done shopping in my heeled boots myself with a bit of leg on show in black tights and the idea is in my head now taking my husband out as a girl with the mask on no one would read him from his figure with his wig on but yes the tell is you guys have wider shoulders i agree.
We're both on a diet here too after an indulgent Christmas and no exercise.
Emma (Wife)
Do you have a dog?
Or online
They do but should have the measurements on the label
Measure, measure and measure
Peacocks ?
I don't have many photos. Not had time to chill as Davina for probably 18 months. Only time I've had is when working from home when kids in school. We need a husband and wife night out but I'd love a girls night in and a sort out of my 50+dresses.
It gets worse, Dorerhy Perkins 16 dress isn't the same as a Boohoo 16 dress and different to a Peacocks dress lol Yes its the shoulders my wife says its my give away if I was in public. When out in London I had a winter coat on. You have to try to get the right shape to take the eye away from the shoulders is why I like a v neck skater type design dress. The Boohoo size 16 I need to slim into after winter / Christmas weight and can't wait to try them on all tarted up and a few lb slimmer.
She tries the on and I take pictures for her album
I rarely spend anything on "Davina" bought 4 dresses for something new to wear and to spend some Xmas money male me doesn't need anything.
Here’s a question. How should a bloke in a dress work out what size he is?? I bought a fab Ted Baker dress in a sale, size 12, online from John Lewis. Bottom half was great, as soon as I put it round my shoulders and took a deep breath in (for twas quite tight) there was a horrendous tearing sound and the delicate shiny fabric was tent asunder. It’s the shoulders isn’t it. They’re a give away and a tragic flaw which we cannot escape. Don’t get me started about the highly sexy LKBennett heels I ordered in a sale ...when they arrived one was size 7 and one size 8. I argued the toss with spectacularly unhelpful customer service but couldn’t be bothered to return them to a store. Such an ordeal buying clothes of the opposite, um, gender. But still we do it. 😐
Browsing keeps Rachel happy which makes me happy 😃
I think Rachel just loves the browsing and purchasing and having it delivered not in secret and trying things on and knows she doesn’t have to hide it from me
I’ll keep playing the lottery and one day :-)
Oh bugger! I would have loved to have bought it for her :-(
Dress by Costarellos its £1500 @Chelle (R’s Wife) if you buy this for Rachel I'll be gobsmacked 🤭
No idea make of dress maybe one of the names listed
Do you know where the dress was from - I’d love to surprise Rachel with it ?
Gorgeous Holly W - what an awesome dress
Esme just agreed my girlfriend Holly is looking good tonight love that dress on her.. Would look fab on me too..
Rachel is shopping/browsing on EBay and has just shown me a delightful jumper that we both like
Rachel and I will comment to each when we see girls in the supermarket who look nice or are wearing something lovely or on the tv
A real person is more threatening than a TV personality. You can have a crush on Davina McCall without it being threatening. Finding a 'real' person attractive is threatening.
The woman in TESCOs was real. Davina McCall is a TV personality.
One's attainable the other is not.

Esme does too occasionally she actually rewound the masked singer for me to see what Davina McCall was wearing yesterday.. So celebs its OK women in Tescos not OK 🤣
It's funny. My wife often comments that a woman on tv looks nice - 'I like Sophies's dress' . I never know quite how to react. I normally mumble something about her looking nice.

Send us a photo from prison...x
Agreed I will even point out the tubby guy in the tracki bottoms lol. I wasn't oggling the woman I was jealous lol boots (nice), black tights (yes ✊), leather skirt (check) long blonde hair (boom).. Could have been me with a mask on wearing that.. I wish. See ladies we don't oggle and in our minds think coooor I'd nail that like some neanderthails .. We're cross dressers appraising the outfit and effort. Wonder if Esme will let me go to Tesco as Davina... Lol mask on who would know eyes nicely shadowed and mascara, boots, tights dress and coat with blonde wig and bobble hat who would know. She would say.... Ah no. Davina
Agreed yes. Although if I looked at women, which naturally I don’t, I would inevitably be subconsciously finding them attractive or not, as all men and women do, but also be evaluating their clothes and appearance. I guess maybe only a crossdresser would say this, but women have so much choice don’t they in what they wear. Different fabrics, cuts, lengths, dress or skirt, trousers or leggings, shoes, leg wear, multitude of colours, jewellery. We haven’t even started on the face or hair or nails yet. It’s endless choice and style. How does a man’s thought process work when he’s getting dressed: tie or not, what colour socks. Oh and shall I wear some Wolfords under my jeans. On no hang on, scrub that, got confused. It’s a double edged issue for girls - yes it must be a pain having to put in so much effort and feel like you are being judged, having to come up to scratch - on the other hand, what glorious scope to express yourself (or not if you can’t be bovvered). To even it up, next time you come back from Tesco’s ask your wife if she saw the tubby guy in the beer aisle, loved his trackie bottoms, did you see?
