Dont think id go out in the summer unless with a long dress i'm a dark nights kinda tgirl ... black tights lol cover of darkness .. tho what i didnt factor was how light it was when we went out from streetlights to shop window lighting.
You: " t girl dressed wrong just wrong for the time of day ". Yes. My wife works in Brighton and says in Summer you can often spot a tgirl because she is wearing black tights, and no cis girl does that in summer. It only takes one thing like that to be noticed, then the person will look a little closer and spot other things.
We were in London Wembley for the NFL 2 years ago jumped on the tube into London but on the station was a t girl dressed wrong just wrong for the time of day and looked awkward and lo and behold on the tube sat opposite me us not knowing where to look cringing for her she got off a few stops before ours and felt a relief me thinking I hope that hasnt dented Esmes opinion of t girls,, We also saw a tgirl in Torquay once with orange foundation dressed dreadful it was 0930 in the morning ish and she looked like she’d just started making her way home again for me oh no she looks terrible brave to be out but no one say anything… then her dad exclaims thats a fella and my daughter says omg thats a man in a dress.. divert and change the subject..
Same trip to Wembley walking towards me a tall blonde immaculate makeup about 5’10 in heels long legs looked great my tgirl radar goes off and yep as we passed hearing her talk confirmed a tgirl Esme didnt even notice her and thats how I hoped id be in public although she looked amazing and attractive not drawing attention I was hoping just for passable and no attention when I made my first trip out.
I saw another t girl in covent garden looked convincing but to the trianed eye an awkwardness and bit of an adams apple .. tgirl radar went off but again Esme had no idea it was a tgirl.
I expect ost people are polite always the risk someone will take ecception and out the t girl or as we’ve seen on tims abuse the t girl awkward to put up a fight if it comes to it in heels and a dress.
I’ve not really tried the womans voice.. juliette Noir on youtube has sussed the drop in voice.
I don't know if I pass, but if you do then great. It is almost imossible to tell though. If people do not look, stare or mention it, it might be tat they are just being polite (most are). Conversely, even if you see people glimpse, it could just be because they find you attractive. Or they like your top. Or that they have their suspicions. However, most for certain do not pass the voice test. I was speaking to a bloke in a pub (me dressed), discussing transgenderism, and said about my voice, but he said he thought it was ok. I mean I know I don't have a deep voice, but still, I'm not sure. Womens voices are in general so much softer. I guess there is a bit of crossover if you have a voice in the middling ranges, it might pass. But in any case, its also about intonation, and how you use words or form sentences - perhaps more so than frequency range (within limits). I think I do subconsciously do that more than trying to shift my voice higher, but then I don't have a deep voice to beign with. When I first went out, I was concerned about passing, but now I really genuinely do not care, When you go out in a group, there is no way you all pass anyway, so you all get clocked by association. Besides which, we have nothing to feel shame about. I think realising that is one important point on the progression.
Maybe Esme will answer when she reads this but if I didn't think I could get away without being read as a bloke I'd never have had the guts to go out in public.
Limping as I was on a twisted knee made things awkward though.
If I didn't think my husband wouldn't pass completely in public I'd never have taken him out dressed.
Get people are too busy or too polite to care but he doesn't have big feet or big hands he's 5 ft 7 so Ok in heels.
He can pass for a woman.
Esme woukd you have gone out of that hotel in London with Davina if you didn't think he'd pass? Did you think he passed or that people were ignoring him and being polite?
Are you still here Esme? (Hope you are as I seem to be the only girl here again)
Almost nobody passes in public. Just because you look good in the mirror means nothing. How you hold yourself, how you move, how you talk, or your skeletal frame can all be giveaways. Or simply your height can raise enough suspicion for someone to look closer. Or big hands. Or big feet. The point is this: people are too busy or too polite to even mention it if they do clock you. And in my experience, if they do, they just use it as an opportunity to be complimentary or kind in other ways.Stop being worried about "passing", just look your best and be proud to be transgender.Too many have gone down the route of being obsessed wth not being considered a "real woman" and it never ends well (case in point: India Willougby on Big Brother). Note: you don't have to be "passable" to be beautiful.
This advice helped a bit .. better makeup / foundation maybe key for my next excursion out and maybe a better wig as dressing at home it's easy to pull all the hair forward over my shoulders but going out Esme tried to arrange it spread back and front.
Hindsight maybe pinning some of it would have been better but think I need a shorter wig a bit more convincing maybe shoulder length which falls back and front naturally or need to learn to style the wigs I have with pins and hair clasp things .. whatever they're called.
Next girls night in will have to get the wigs out see what we can do with them.
Having a twisted knee or ligament damage however wasn't mentioned in the video lol advice from me if you're injured cancel your outing lol.
