'My own studies, based on the response to my telephone advice lines (which are rung by around 250,000 people a year) suggest that the figure of 1 in 10 is probably accurate.'
That's a quote by Vernon Colman, the only person I know who has put any real effort into obtaining actual statistics.
So any wives or men out there feeling alone with all this, don't. You're most definitely NOT alone. :-)

Here's my tell these days
I'm clean shaven which probably means I'm going to or have been cross dressed not always but maybe and my wife will say slight Panda eyes but this I think can also be attribulted to stress, lack of sleep and trying too hard to remove eye makeup lol.

Actually, I totally agree. It's funny but buy a blue car and suddenly all you see are blue cars. Marry a covert crossdresser and suddenly you can spot all the other covert crossdresser said!
And there are many of you. Most people wouldn't think twice about the guy with the shaved chest and longer than average nails. I would! I saw a couple in a mall many years back, he was uber alpha male looking and she was HOT and they had three gorgeous young kids and then I noticed his fingernails - long and neatly painted with a French manicure. Sorry, but most alpha males don't do that...unless they're crossdressing on the side! Earrings are another, the double kind. Long hair on a guy you know isn't a rock star or hippy lol.
Davina types don't do this permanent stuff so you're harder to spot, but I've also had signs from ordinary men with no physical giveaways. I had a nice looking young shop attendant, (not gay as I've seen him around with his girl friend) out of the blue comment on how much he likes my top. Seriously, most men don't do this...they just stare at the boobs under the top lol. So I gave him a smile and said thanks, but I really wanted to say 'Do you want to know where I bought it so you can get one for yourself?'
Hahaha, I'm so mean. I didn't, of course, but maybe next time I'll give that 1 in 10 guy a fright! :-D

I'm not "Out" as a Crossdresser/Tgirl whatever label but I've read 1in10 a few times on my research and I regularly if I'm in a meeting in work or if out and about think to myself "Right there's 22 of us in this meeting which one is the other Crossdresser"
I'm not joking lol I look for signs and have on occasion found signs or heard things said which almost makes me shout "Bingo!" But obviously we're in a secret society so secret only those snooping on our internet know we're crossdressers.
I've been in many a group where suddenly crossdressing is brought up usually as a "im called Mary on the weekends" type quip and I analyse those saying that sometimes and feel there is more truth to that than that person wants anyone to know.
Recently staying away with work a few of us went for a pint and one brought up Milton Keynes and seeing Crossdressers a certain night of the week on the train and another said oh they go to that pink punters place... Busted!
Lol I don't think I give off any signs as Alpha man with my cape and super hero status and even when I flat out admit I cross dress people automatically think as if "Alpha man!"
So next time you're in an environment with more than 20 men have a look there may be two crossdressers lurking lol.. Admiring your outfit and high heels lol
