If you met me for the first time, I don't think you'd look at me and think, “I bet he's a crossdresser.”

And that's probably one of the things I find most interesting about my own journey and that of lots of other men who escape for a while by Crossdressing.

I'm a fairly traditionally masculine bloke.

I'm a husband and a dad. I'm involved in sport and coaching. I've played sport, I keep myself reasonably fit, I walk most mornings and go to the gym.

I'm competitive, I like football, rugby and cricket, and I'm a heavy metal fan.

It's Father's Day here in the UK.

I'm writing this sat in the garden early in the morning, coffee in hand, listening to the birds singing and enjoying the sunshine before the day properly begins.

Like many dads today, I'll receive a card, probably a gift, and spend time with my family. I'll call in and see my own father, enjoy a family meal, maybe have a beer or two in the garden later, watch some football and reflect on what being a father means.

As parents, we never really see ourselves through our children's eyes.

To our kids, we're often larger than life.

Another Saturday afternoon and evening spent wandering around Cardiff with my wife, doing one of our favourite activities: people watching, then a meal, live music and drinks.

Cardiff was busy, it's always busy this myth that online shopping has stripped city shopping centres of shoppers, ok may be true for some parts of Cardiffs main strip of shops at the Queen Street end but it's always busy with shopper's on a weekend.

The bars and restaurants were also full, shoppers were everywhere, and there seemed to be a noticeable increase in women wearing black fishnet tights / stockings, heels and bright red lipstick.

It didn't take long to work out why.

The Rocky Horror Show was in town.

Suddenly it all made sense.
