Dear Marjory
I’m really hoping you can help me because I’m at my wits end.
The other morning I got up to go to work as usual. I kissed my husband goodbye -- he mostly does shift work and so doesn’t need to leave until midday -- then I left the house myself and climbed into my car with the intention of driving to the office.
Unfortunately, it was a very cold morning and my car wouldn’t start, so I went back to the house to seek my husband’s assistance. I took my key out of my purse and let myself in, and I can only assume my husband didn’t hear me, because when I walked into our bedroom I was confronted with the most disturbing sight.
My husband was standing in front of the mirror wearing a pair of MY stockings, a pair of MY knickers, a pair of MY black high-heeled shoes, as well as long blonde haired wig.
He also had some of my lipstick on.
Obviously I asked him what he was doing, and he quickly broke down and confessed to me that he was a secret crossdresser and that he’d been regularly dressing in my underwear ever since we got married.
You need to understand that I love my husband very much, and getting a divorce is simply out of the question because I’m a devout Roman Catholic, but I really don’t think that I can live with this, which is why I am writing to you now.
So please, Marjory, please, help me. I haven’t got a clue what to do.
Any advice and information you can offer me would be massively appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Sarah

MARJORY'S REPLY:
Dear Sarah
First of all, thank you for writing to me.
I can quite understand your concern.
The good news is I believe I can indeed be of help, because I’ve actually come across this problem many times before.
A car failing to start in cold weather is not nearly as uncommon as you might think.
Here’s what to do: First check that the battery leads are properly secured.
If the engine's failure to start is not due to a flat battery or any faulty wiring, then you could have a broken solenoid switch.
It’s also worth making sure that there’s enough fuel in the tank, because sometimes the gauge inside the car can be broken without you realizing it.
Hope it helps.
Marjory
