I'm sure we've all scoured charity shops in our time in the search for our girly stuff. Whilst there is something special about buying new new clothes, I am a massive fan of charity shops and would say that the majority of my wardrobe originated in them. Amongst all the Primark and Ebay stretched-out jersey tops and assorted 'granny-wear', there are often absolute gems to be found.
So, with that in mind, what have been your best charity shop finds? I think mine must be a lovely soft leather A-line miniskirt by Biba (£5!) and a simply gorgeous black satin Karen Millen bodycon dress (a bit pricey this one - £8 but worth every penny! 😉) along with the dozens of pairs of lovely glossy German tights (can't have too many pairs of tights after all) that I discovered in the various Barnados shops of the North East!
Had some jewellery and an evening clutch bag. Not had any clothes/dresses as when I've looked I don't tend to find many (if any) in a size 22. May have to revisit charity shops as I'm more or less an 18 for skirts so I think I might have more luck. Did see a very nice dress in a Lincoln charity shop but £25.00 is not in my price range for Suzzanne's dresses. I get most of my items from Ebay now. You can get some great items for less than £10.00 and the Click & Collect service at Argos is great for keeping things away from home. FB Market Place is also good but have been asked once when collecting a dress if it was for me!
Zilch.. Most of my dresses are hand me downs from the wife. A few purchased in Peacocks and Primark.
Never once looked for clothes in charity shops, not that I'm against it. Might be my next challenge to put together an outfit completely from charity shops. Could be an interesting experiment to see what part of the country has the best charity shop finds 🤔😁. Perhaps, others might consider it too. Infact on another note where do most people buy their stuff from. For me it's mainly amazon, primark and some of the supermarkets. Although I have bought a few items from long tall Sally, (helps when your 6'2"). I'm also considering some items from everything £5 which I was told about recently. I'm gonna need a bigger wardrobe at this rate.
