I'm glad i took the decision to tell my wife before she found out by accident or caught me dressed as i could explain to her right from the start I wasn't gay or bisexual.

The letter was possibly an OTT decision but I think for me it was the right decision, to be able to lay out all my plans for the future and how far I wanted to take my dressing was a way for her to know everything and not to keep getting hit with another escalated thing i wanted to do.

Ok, so now for some big news! After a couple of months of agonising over wanting to ask her how she felt about things hence the question, I finally plucked up enough courage on Monday night and just asked her how she felt about me being a CD?

Well after a small pause she said that she was starting to get used to it all and I could tell she was more relaxed about it, I even got a small smile from her, she's still a little apprehensive about it, so i took the opportunity to try and explain the transgender scale and where we fall on that scale, i asked her if shed heard of dysphoria and explained how as crossdressers we can sometimes suffer from a mild mental dysphoria as opposed to a full transgender who has a physical dysphoria, she listened and understood how that works.

I told her i wanted to go and have a makeover as a next step and she seemed ok about that but didn't give a response as such, I think if i asked her directly she would probably say if that's what you want to do then that's ok.

Finally I asked again if she wanted to see a photo of me as Catriona and said i think you'll be quite supprised how i look! Again I didn't get a response so didn't push it and let the conversation drop there.

Tonight when we got home there was a bright shiny pink/purple package that was obviuosly something to do with my dressing, it's a 4d mascara by the way, I didn't make any attempt to hide it, I didn't open it in front of her but have left the package in the lounge in full view, she hasn't asked me what it is so I guess she knows it's for Catriona.

Her mood is fine, normal and she doesn't seem fased about it, it was the same after we had out talk and the best thing is everything seems to be a lot lighter now, I feel I can start to talk to her a little more and she is slowly starting to accept it more and more, so things are moving forward quite well now.

I'll start by putting the same question that I've put forward to Juilliet's wife, as a way of trying to get maybe some sort of consensus between different wives to see if their initial feelings were the same.
