I think that we also need to admit to ourselves that even if it was the norm for men to wear skirts, heels etc that we'd still be crossdressers. I think that our need to crossdress runs deeper than clothing choice. We want to make ourselves as feminine as possible which includes wigs, false boobs, make up etc. Katie x

Mine broke up from college yesterday. My wife went into the office for the first time since March today. Talk about the planets NOT aligning! Managed one hour dressed since before the first lockdown which was rushed. Don't see it happening again until September unless we get hit by another wave. Katie x

I do feel like we are getting to the end. Some sort of normality is returning. Maybe the press has just lost interest and looking for the next thing to sensationalise! I guess we all need to put life into perspective. I sometimes wonder how we'd cope as crossdressers in another country without all the benefit we have here. I can't imagine the desire to crossdress is only restricted to 'first' world countries. I also look at my life by looking at friends around the same age. Another guy I worked with dropped dead from a heart attack. An ex-girlfriend has been diagnosed with MND and I guy I know from football has just had a brain tumour removed. I guess sometimes you just have to seize the day and do what you want as you just don't know how long you have. There is an old financial planning question. What would you do if you were told you had 5 years left to live? What would you do with one year left to live? What would you regret not having done if you were given a week to live? The only problem is that some of the things we might regret not having done don't exactly sit well with our current lives and would you regret having done them if you did 🤯 It's so complicated sometimes 😂 Sorry to waffle on but sometime you just type as your thoughts come out. Liz and I did discuss meeting with a group of other T girls at a remote cottage. It got to a planning stage but then covid hit. I also left TVChix so my old contacts have gone. I thought it would be fun to spend a while weekend dressed but to be honest I'm not sure if I could stay dressed that long. A few hours is normally enough for me. Katie x

Yes @alina. Listen to Auntie Liz. I know how you're feeling. It's been over a year now for me and I wonder what it will be like the next time I get the chance. Will the old magic still be there? It does seem a little strange after so long but I'm sure that once I get back in the swing it will all come rushing back. Just hope to avoid the old 'pink mist' when it does. I guess I'm a little nervous that it won't be the same. But I still think about it everyday so I know that getting rid of everything will be a waste of money as I know that once I start again it will all feel natural again. Also I know everything will still be in fashion as nobody has been out shopping! Katie x

The point I was trying to make is that most of us start our crossdressing from the point of childhood innocence. It is not some sexual perversion just children exploring their world. I don't mean taught as in a formal lesson but being told that you cannot wear your sisters clothes or telling you off for touching the silky underwear in M&S is still being taught 'right from wrong' according to societies rules. @Davina once you had be told it was wrong to touch the silky underwear you would have learnt and that would have induced some guilt. Did you do it again in view of your mother? If not then lesson learnt. Did it mean you had to do it in secret? Why, because you felt some sort of guilt or shame? What starts as us being innocent children can quickly escalate into us feeling ashamed of what we do despite the fact that we want to do it more. My feeling were as a result of my experience of society. If you dress as a woman you must want to be a woman or you are trying to attract me and therefore gay. Is it any wonder our wives, partner and society in general think the same thing if that is what society can teach a small boy. It was very confusing when you're going through puberty, hormones are everywhere but you still want to dress as a girl. This is the bagged I've carried around for so long. Something I still haven't come to term with 100%. Katie x

I think that a lot of the shame and guilt we carry around with us was to do with not wanting to disappoint our parents when we were kids. I could still never tell mine about my crossdressing because I know how they'd feel. It's different generation when things seemed 'simpler'. Katie x

I can't think of any real influences on my dressing. I do remember a girl in my class that I used to fancy. She has a pencil skirt with buttons all the way up the side. My sister had a similar skirt that I used to 'borrow'. I guess it was me trying to be close to this girl and influenced by her style. Katie x
